``` Formulation and safety
Every ingredient chosen.
Every dose deliberate.
Nurishy is designed to work alongside your postnatal vitamin, not replace it. Every formulation decision was made with that in mind.
```
How we think about safety

Three commitments.
All non-negotiable.

01

Formulated for postpartum biology

Nurishy was not adapted from a generic hair supplement. Every ingredient was selected specifically for its role in supporting postpartum hair regrowth. The biology of telogen effluvium and the nutritional science behind postpartum hair regrowth guided every decision.

02

Dosed with care

Every dose was calculated against the most commonly used postnatal vitamins in the UK. Combined daily intake stays well within UK and EU safe upper limits. Two ingredients were removed entirely because the numbers, when added together, did not meet the standard we set for ourselves. See below.

03

Independently verified

Every batch is third-party tested before it reaches you. Not because we are required to. Because you deserve better than a promise.

Deliberate omissions

What we left out.
And why.

A deliberate protection No vitamin A.

Several competing products include vitamin A at doses that, when combined with a standard postnatal vitamin, can approach the upper safe limit for breastfeeding women. We reviewed the combined intake data and made a clear decision. Vitamin A was removed entirely. It is a deliberate protection for postpartum women, whether breastfeeding or not.

A considered exclusion No iron.

Postnatal vitamins already include iron as standard. Iron deficiency can contribute to hair loss independently of postpartum telogen effluvium, but it requires a blood test to confirm, not a supplement taken on assumption. Adding iron to Nurishy without knowing your individual iron status would be irresponsible. If you have concerns about iron deficiency, a serum ferritin test with your GP is the right place to start.

Combined dose safety

Mapped against the vitamins
you are already taking.

We calculated Nurishy's doses against the four most commonly used postnatal vitamins in the UK. Combined daily intake stays well within UK and EU safe upper limits across every nutrient.

Pregnacare Breastfeeding Seven Seas Postnatal Wild Nutrition Food-Grown Postnatal Vitabiotics Pregnacare New Mum
Vitamin C 15% of UK and EU safe upper limit

Combined with postnatal vitamin: ~150mg. UK and EU safe upper limit: 1,000mg.

Vitamin D3 20% of UK and EU safe upper limit

Combined with postnatal vitamin: ~20mcg. SACN safe upper limit: 100mcg.

Zinc 58% of UK and EU safe upper limit

Combined with postnatal vitamin: ~14.5mg. UK and EU safe upper limit: 25mg.

Selenium 28% of UK and EU safe upper limit

Combined with postnatal vitamin: ~85mcg. UK and EU safe upper limit: 300mcg.

Biotin No established upper limit

300mcg per day. No upper safe limit established by UK or EU regulatory bodies. See note below.

Silicon (bamboo extract) Not present in postnatal vitamins

5mg elemental silicon per day. Silicon is not included in standard postnatal vitamin formulations. No combined intake concern.

A note on biotin

Many generic hair supplements contain upwards of 5,000 to 10,000mcg of biotin per serving. At doses of 5,000mcg or more, biotin has been clinically shown to interfere with certain blood tests, including thyroid function and cardiac troponin assays, a risk formally documented by both the MHRA and the European Medicines Agency.

Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). Biotin: interference with thyroid immunoassays. Drug Safety Update; May 2025. European Medicines Agency, Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee (PRAC). Biotin interference with clinical laboratory tests; January 2019.

Nurishy contains only 300mcg of biotin, intentionally. Enough to address the biotin depletion that is common during pregnancy and the postpartum period, without the excessive doses where interference has been clinically documented. If you are taking any additional high-dose biotin supplement alongside Nurishy, let your GP or midwife know before any bloodwork.

Third-party testing

Tested independently.
Every batch.

Every batch of Nurishy is independently tested by one of the most trusted, accredited third-party laboratories used across the UK and EU. Testing covers heavy metals, microbiological safety, and the integrity of every ingredient. Every batch must pass before it reaches you.

We did the research, the testing, and the hard thinking so you do not have to wonder.

```
Every decision on this product was made with the safety of postpartum women and their babies in mind. I would not have had it any other way.
We hope you will join our movement
and help us raise the standard for postpartum care.
